Hibiscus is a genus of flowering plants in the mallow family, which is used to make medicine. Hibiscus tea is made from the dried petals and sepals of the plant. It has been known to prevent hypertension, lower blood pressure, reduce blood sugar levels, keep your liver healthy, help with menstrual cramps, help with depression, digestion and weight management. It's rich in vitamin C, contains minerals such as flavonoids-C and has laxative properties.


It’s good hot but great as a cold cocktail. There are a few ways to make hibiscus tea your drink of the day and here are the names of a few.
